About Andi

I write stories. It's what I do. I make up worlds where most of us wouldn't want to go, then force characters who've rarely done anything wrong to suffer in them. Sometimes the characters survive; sometimes they don't. I feel very bad about it when they don't, but it really isn't up to me to decide. You'll have to blame the story for that.

I co-wrote Cthulhu Invictus, a sourcebook for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game, and have had short stories published in magazines such as The Storyteller and Tales of the Talisman.

Although I was barely in my teens when I got my first computer (a Commodore 64 with Datasette drive) and have no fewer than four working computers in my home, I write my first drafts longhand with a fountain pen. I've also learned to restore fountain pens, and might someday try selling them instead of simply giving them away. I stumbled into 3D computer graphics while working on the first incarnation of Cthulhu Invictus and enjoyed it so much that I wrote a chapter for the Carrara 5 Pro Handbook by Mike de la Flor.

I live in North Carolina with my husband and Invictus co-author, Chad Bowser; our six cats; and a bearded dragon named Gosney who's convinced he can breathe fire.

I'm @andimn on Twitter. You're more than welcome to follow me. I tweet about things I'm researching for stories, like pocketwatches, spiders, trains, and fungi. Or about things that interest me, like fountain pens, cats, or art. I only occasionally tweet about food.
